Underrun AGV – easily integratable and designed for complex industrial optimization
There is no doubt that the internal logistics of each production plant must continuously ensure the flow of material, so that the production itself can function just as smoothly and flawlessly. Mobile robotic devices, also known as AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), represent more efficient, cheaper and more secure internal logistics for industrial companies. They can operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which means that the flow of material in the industrial hall is thus ensured at all times. In the event of an unforeseen situation, they can adapt flexibly.
CEIT is one of the leading technology companies specializing in internal logistics automation. Its yellow robotic trucks for automated material transport are now only one part of the mobile robotic system, which has become a comprehensive intelligent logistics solution thanks to CEIT’s own system called Monitor & Control System (MCS) for controlling and monitoring logistics equipment in real time. Logistics managers thus receive a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of the movement of the AGVs in the entire logistics system at any given time. The obtained data are thus a valuable starting point for them in further decisions.
Complementing the wide portfolio of intelligent logistics robots from the CEIT workshop, the new technical line of underrun AGV (1200F and 1000LC-F / 600LC-F) brings new possibilities of implementation, not only in industrial plants, but also in other sectors of industry.
New range of underrun AGVs
The new line of easy-to-integrate AGV devices is designed for continuous operation without any downtime. They are used for safe, efficient and reliable transport of material, especially in industrial environments. They feature advanced controls and modern navigation.
The underrun AGV 1200F and 1000LC-F move freely forwards and backwards, rotate on the spot, and since they are underrun mobile logistics robots, they can go under the load and lift it with the help of their lifting mechanism. The said technical series envisages a maximum load capacity of up to 1,200 kg of transported cargo. The trouble-free operation of mobile logistics robots is ensured by maintenance-free lithium batteries with automatic and contactless charging.
Intelligent mobile robots are equipped with a security scanner, which provides protection during the transport of material, even in areas where employees work. The devices move on the basis of a predefined virtual path, while the creation and possible changes occur very easily and quickly, in a software environment. Such a modern form of navigation is based on the synchronization of the real and the virtual world.
A huge advantage of autonomous robots is their modularity, which is a prerequisite for wide use for automation and optimization of various levels of logistics processes. The autonomous underrun robots from the new technical range are ready to use the latest generation of mobile communication technologies, 5G network. At the same time, they represent a platform suitable for the integration of collaborative robots; they are therefore a solution to meet the challenges of the smart industry of the future in line with Industry 4.0.
In addition, the intelligent mobile robot from the new line of AGVs has already won its first award. In the Innovative Act of the Year for 2019 competition, announced by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, we placed 3rd in the Technological Innovation category.
